This garage and ADU replaced a carport in the same location, connected to the back of a historic home. The new structure was carefully planned to not exceed the height of the existing house, and to match in character and materials. The dormers allow for a full second story while remaining similar in form to the classic bungalow.

The garage and carport increase the parking and storage area from the previous carport, while the apartment above is divided into a complete one-bedroom space with impressive views, and a small bonus room that can be combined with the apartment or accessed separately from a shared stair.
