Sited where Leavenworth’s mountains meet town, this home has sweeping views from the wraparound porch and open living area. The goal was to create a home that was a good fit for a new family but would age with them and continue to serve their needs throughout life. The form of the home also bridges eras, with the low-slope roof over the living room, kitchen, and porch meeting the traditional gable over the bedrooms and garage. The custom cabinetry is made from ponderosa pines that were cut down from within the footprint of the home.
