Located on a small City lot, this project consists of a small family home and a generous garage with an ADU above. The home provides three bedrooms and two full bathrooms in just under 1200 square feet. The small size was driven by containing cost, practicing a minimalist lifestyle, and the possibility of converting the house to another ADU to serve future needs. Circulation is contained in the center of the house, with a clear line from the front porch to the back deck. This allows for rooms on either side of the pathways to be used more fully.

The ADU style varies from the house so it does not appear as an extension of the house, but its own structure. Windows are maximized in the space to give it a treehouse feel.
