The site for this project is nestled against a hill, with views of the Methow Valley out toward the road. It is a getaway for a family that enjoys cross country skiing right out the front door. The entryway connects the garage and house with a room for hanging up snowy gear, as well as views into the backyard. The living space balances the focus between the connection to the patio and the hearth.
