I led the design and management of this project during my work at Syndicate Smith, LLC. The walls and roof are composed of structural insulated panels (SIP), with the wall of windows opening to the south to maximize winter heat gain and views. The expansive overhang and lower awning block summer light. The open plan with a loft makes a moderately sized house (1700 square feet) feel very spacious.
